Yapak is one of the three towns on the island of Boracay. It occupies a third of the island on the northwest portion, which is fringed by the Puka Beach, a laidback spot where puka shells are harvested for making mementos. Barangay Yapak has smaller beaches named Banyugan, Punta Bunga, Lapus-Lapus, and Baling-Hai; Ilig-Iligan Beach on the northeastern tip is notable for being home to the popular Bat Cave and Crystal Cave. The Kar-Tir Shell Museum, in Ilig-Iligan village, displays traditional clothing and textiles as well as pottery and sea shells. A big part of Yapak is occupied by the private Fairways and Bluewater Golf Course.
